Swinging is back.

You know what that is don’t you? It’s like hooking up but with someone who might be your neighbor or high school principal and all sorts of other naked, mostly married people from around town.

Most swing clubs that I know about don’t let men in unless they’re accompanied by a woman, wife or not. There was a club north of Fort Lauderdale that let single men jump in the pile on selected nights. Sundays usually.  But at all other times, you had to have a woman with you.

I believe that deep down inside of every human female and male on this earth is a lurking fascination with the idea of actually being at a festive event where adults stuff curiosity and inhibitions into a meat grinder and have sex all day with other people.  Or all night. Whatever the schedule is.

I tried to get some swingers on the air with me when I worked in Palm Beach. I was just as curious as you are right now. A lot of the people who did contact me off air were sincere and very professional but had been ambushed too many times by radio interviewers who had them on just as punching bags to goof on. They invited me to meet with them and I accepted.

But I was married at the time. My wife found out and when I cruised in the door that night smooth as glass she met me with a loaded .45 Colt Commander. Not really but she might as well as had one for all the holes she put in me with her verbal bullets.

I never got around to meeting with these people. I had a program director once who used to go to orgies in Phoenix all the time. I asked him to take us to one on behalf of all the men at the station. He just ordered us to get back to work. The woman I dated at the time was with TWA and knew all about airport employee swingers but she gave me the ice cubes when I half assed suggested we might go to one of these things. We did end up swimming nude with her best friends though. A married couple.

Swingers take sex and have fun with it. At least to me it seemed they did. They were happy people. Just like men and women were in the days before somebody thought marriage was a good idea.
